Winter Cruises
Being cold and with snow around you isn’t most people’s idea of a cruise, but it can be as fun as a summer cruise in the Caribbean. The one I went to was in Alaska, but I’ve heard great things about cruises in the Northern Sea – Denmark, Sweden, Norway, etc. and cruises around Russia’s northern coastal line.
Modern cruise ships have all the commodities you can expect, and you’ll never be so cold as not to enjoy your holiday. Honestly, the greatest problem in packing, since you need something warm as well as your bathing suit, because you’ll want to spend time in the ship’s pool and spa.
The fact that so many people would turn their noses at the prospect of going on a winter cruise makes the travel agencies and the cruise agencies go that extra mile in preparing activities for your holidays – and it’ll also affect the price range of these cruises. The one I went to included activities that went from relaxed high seas fishing or ice-skating, to more uncommon sports like shooting and para-sailing. There was even a hunting package at a very moderate price, unfortunately, I was a little too tired to go on a hunting trip.
