Self catering Holidays in Canary Islands

Tenerife, the archipelago’s largest of the islands, is triangular.  The centre of the island is dominated by the dormant volcano Mount Teide. The volcano and it’s a adjacent mountains divide the island into north and south and cause a comparative climatic difference between the two parts. While north Tenerife green and cool, the south is comparatively dry and hot.

The island of Gran Canaria is most populated and houses the shoppers’ haven – Las Palmas. Gran Canaria, too, is divided into to parts by mountains with the south of drier and warmer than the cool and green north. South has more beaches, better tourism, and great fishing villages.

The landscape of Lanzarote is almost black. Its attractions are the National Park of Timanfaya and fine sand beaches. Fuerteventura beach, the longest beaches in the Canary Islands, gives brilliant views to divers of the underwater world.
